Ura-Harajuku Heritage

Radical Menswear's Epicenter

Between the sumi stroke and the seam line lies Ma—the spatial void where form begins. Our archive documents the raw energy of Tokyo's backstreets, where legends were forged. SØHØ Couture maintains a rare and extensive array of legendary Harajuku grails from BAPE & Undercover that influenced Pharrell and Virgil to Hysteric Glamour (collaborates with Yohji Yamamoto and immortalized by Gwen Stefani, Sofia Coppola's Oscar-winning "Lost in Translation" and Brad Pitt's promotions for Fight Club.) SØHO regularly combines Yohji, Issey, Rei & Kansai with Hysteric Glamour to showcase the very best diversity and dexterity of Japanese fashion.

SØHØ Couture respects the legends and brings his own unique style such as this custom blazer with buckles over a Koshino leather hakama and red bottom boots by Louboutin

Shinsuke Takizawa's fusion of American workwear, motorcycle culture, and military influences is a pioneer along with Tet (Tetsu Nishiyama) who are legends in the Japanese Harajuku scene. Here SØHØ wears the rare WTAPS X NBHD jacket over a custom SØHØ battle shirt with rings and a custom beanie with matching rings to represent Samurai head & chest armour

Nigo's iconic streetwear, celebrated for its bold camouflage patterns and distinctive ape head motifs. Pharrell is a lifelong admirer of Japanese fashion as is Ghesquiere —both Louis Vuitton leaders. Here SØHØ wears a custom mixed media SØHØ trenchcoat over BAPE combat pants as a tribute to Nigo, Pharrell & Kenzo.

Nobuhiko Kitamura's pop art, rock 'n' roll, and vintage Americana-inspired designs earned props from Yohji-sensei, Gwen Stefani, Sofia Coppola and Brad Pitt. Here SØHØ wears a custom SØHØ newspaper print jacket hoodie with a rare Harajuku duffel bag.
